Overview
TabZen is an ADHD-friendly Chrome extension for tab management.
This Privacy Policy explains what data TabZen accesses, how it
is used, and what we never do with it. We built TabZen to protect
your mental space — and that includes your data.
Data We Access
- Tabs API: To read the titles, URLs, and
favicons of your currently open tabs so they can be displayed
and categorised inside the extension popup.
- Storage API (chrome.storage.local): To save
your sessions (Safe Spaces) and sprint timer state locally
on your device only.
What We Do With Your Data
- All data is stored only on your device using
Chrome's built-in local storage.
- Tab information is used only to display and organise tabs
within the extension popup.
- Saved sessions are stored only on your device and are
never transmitted anywhere.
What We Never Do
- Collect, transmit, or share your browsing history.
- Send any data to external servers.
- Sell, share, or monetise your data in any way.
- Track your activity across websites.
- Use analytics that collect personal information.
Permissions Explained
- "tabs" permission: Required to read your
currently open tabs. This data never leaves your device.
- "storage" permission: Required to save your
sessions between browser sessions. Stored locally only.
- "host_permissions" (all URLs): Required only
to load favicon icons for each tab. No page content is ever
read or stored.
Children's Privacy
TabZen is not directed at children under 13. We do not
knowingly collect any information from children.
